Kicking Off Spring Sports at Pace
Baseball, lacrosse, tennis, and track all return — here's what to watch this season.

Spring sports tryouts wrapped last week and the season is officially underway across all four spring varsity programs. Here's where each team stands going in.
Baseball
The Knights return five starters from last spring's playoff run and add two transfers who immediately strengthen the lineup. The pitching staff has the depth question of the season — three reliable arms is enough for the regular season; what about the playoffs?
Watch: Senior captain in the leadoff spot; the new junior left-hander expected to slot in as the #2 starter.
Lacrosse
Both boys' and girls' lacrosse programs come in with new head coaches this year. Continuity will be the question — what do you keep, what do you change, and how quickly can you get the team on the same page?
Watch: The first three games of the season, which will tell us a lot about adjustment.
Tennis
Tennis quietly had one of the best seasons in school history last year, and most of the roster returns. The bar is high.
Watch: Doubles teams; the depth at the back of the lineup is what carried the team to state last year.
Track & Field
Track has the best across-the-board depth it's had in years, with strong contributors in sprints, distance, jumps, and throws. The team meet schedule includes two new invitationals.
Watch: The 4x400 relay team; on paper, a state-final contender.
Schedule
Game schedules for all four programs are posted on the Pace Athletics site. Knightly News will recap each big result here and on Instagram (@knightly_news) throughout the season.
